Featuring advanced safety technology and long-life components like heat-treated, cast-iron axles and advanced self-reinforcing frames, the 1400 & 1500 Series II combine high-capacity mowing, superior durability and all-year versatility. With options like 7-Iron II™ decks, a variety of attachments, and two- and four-wheel drive, they´re the best mowers of their kind.

Leaves behind a flawless cut and an entire industry.
Four million pounds of force and in-depth engineering form an incredibly strong (and world's first) 72-inch, seven-gauge stamped steel deck. Shaft-driven blades with maximum overlap, stunning 5.75-inch depth, and full-length front baffle (which brushes grass into an upright position) combine to produce a superior cut - even at 12 miles per hour, during turns and in lush conditions.

Owns the inside track.
With a 72-inch deck, the back of the mower moves in exact proportion to the front, so it's easy to trim contoured landscaping. Models in the 1400 and 1500 Series II have a tighter turning radius than conventional front mowers and come equipped with turning brakes allowing for zero-degree turns.
Like a zero-turning-radius mower, with a 72-inch deck, you never have to worry about the machine rear striking objects.

Proven power.
High-tech, liquid-cooled gas and diesel engines (up to 36 hp) precisely match machine tolerances. And all have been field-tested to power through any environment - including dust, heat, cold and punishing terrain.
Torque from 45.5 ft.-lb. to 79.4 ft.- lb.
Patented high-efficiency air intake system.
Full-pressure and self-bleeding fuel systems.
Direct injection and self-bleeding fuel systems.

Rises to any challenge.
Every 1400 Series II mower is available with mechanical 4WD and the 1545 and 1565 Series II both come standard with it. Curbs, bumps and steep inclines are no match for this axle-based drive system. Unlike hydraulic wheel motors, it keeps climbing until an obstacle is overcome.
These machines' innovative frame design also allows components (such as the engine) to be placed closer to the ground for a low center of gravity. More impressively: A dual tire option can enhance this already exceptional equilibrium.
